# WORK ORDER — Station 6: teach it — build the brain with prompts (GLAMMBOX pack)

You are an AI agent with write access to the one home folder from Station 3.
Build the beginner's memory scaffold: a MEMORY.md-style index, a daily-notes
folder, and a bootstrap prompt the person can reuse every session. No
database, no install — this station is files and prompts only.

## Goal
A working, human-readable memory folder the model can be pointed at every
session, plus a short list of copy-paste prompts the person keeps for later.

## Prerequisites
- The home folder from Station 3.
- An agent signed in (Station 4) with write access to that one folder, OR
  a plain chat window if no agent is installed yet — the prompts below work
  either way; only the file-creation steps need an agent.

## Steps (agent, if present)
1. Inside the home folder, create a `memory/` subfolder.
2. Create `memory/MEMORY.md` — a short index file, newest entry first, one
   line per fact worth remembering, with a date and a link to the file that
   proves it. This file is the map; it is never the only copy of a fact.
3. Create `memory/daily/` and, inside it, one file per day named
   `YYYY-MM-DD.md` — a running log of what happened, decided, or was
   learned that day.
4. Add one real entry to today's daily note and one matching line to
   MEMORY.md, so the pattern is proven, not just described.
5. Save a copy of the bootstrap prompt below as `memory/bootstrap-prompt.md`
   so the person never has to retype it.

## Copy-paste prompts (for the person, in any chat or agent)

**The bootstrap prompt** — paste this at the start of a new session so the
model reads its own memory first:
```
Before we start, read memory/MEMORY.md and today's file in memory/daily/
if it exists. Treat MEMORY.md as an index, not the full truth — if you need
detail, open the file it points to. Do not invent facts that are not in
these files. If nothing relevant exists yet, say so plainly and we will
start one.
```

**The daily-note prompt** — paste this at the end of a work session:
```
Write today's entry in memory/daily/YYYY-MM-DD.md: what we did, what we
decided, and one open question for next time. Keep it factual — no
summarizing-as-if-it-happened-differently. Then add one line to
memory/MEMORY.md only if today produced a fact worth finding again later.
```

**The correction prompt** — paste this whenever the model says something
that turns out to be wrong:
```
That was incorrect: [state the actual fact]. Update memory/MEMORY.md and
the relevant daily file so this does not repeat. Do not soften or hide the
correction — write it as a dated fix.
```

## Verification
- `memory/MEMORY.md` exists and has at least one real, dated entry.
- `memory/daily/` has at least one dated file with real content.
- The person has saved the three prompts above somewhere they will find them
  again (the bootstrap-prompt.md file counts).

## Honest costs
Free — this is files and prompts, no new software, no subscription.
